The New Dunedin Hospital project has made great progress, moving from early concepts in 2020 to the point where we will shortly be beginning construction.
As Programme Director, Mike Barns has been at the forefront of these milestones, assembling a first-rate project team and managing various stakeholders across the Dunedin community.
Having bought the project this far, Mike has decided to step aside into a new role.
Mike has worked tirelessly and passionately, almost entirely in the midst of a global pandemic, to help deliver a world-class hospital for the Southern Region.
From 9 May, Tony Lloyd will assume the position of Programme Director. Tony brings experience in both project delivery and governance.
