The Hands Up database is a workforce database created by the Ministry of Health to support the COVID-19 workforce for both clinical and non-clinical roles such as vaccinators, administrators and all support roles. Email the Hands Up Database Team indicating what resources you need, and the Ministry of Health will conduct a search in their database and provide you with a list of potential leads for you to contact. Requests may take up to 5 working days to process. Please note: The Ministry of Health can only help fill roles for providers in the health and disability sector. The Ministry of Health does not validate qualifications, or conduct police or reference checks of workers registered in the Hands Up Database. It is the responsibility of the employer to conduct these checks prior to offering somebody a role. |

Other places you can advertise vacancies
We recommend posting job vacancies in multiple places that reach your intended audience for the highest chance of filling vacancies you have – some of those places may include social media. While they’re not specifically designed as job recruitment sites, websites that have community message boards, such as Neighbourly and community Facebook groups can be an effective way to promote job vacancies you need to fill.
If you search for Facebook groups containing the suburb where you’re looking for workers, plus the terms ‘buy’, ‘sell’, ‘trade’ or ‘jobs’, you may find more people visit the job listing you post if you link to them using local community Facebook or Neighbourly groups.
For safety reasons, we recommend that you don’t use anybody’s personal information when posting to Facebook or Neighbourly.
